About GTA 5
Grand Theft Auto V places a street hustler, a retired bank robber and a volatile criminal inside the same sprawling crime story. The original game moves between Los Santos and the surrounding countryside, mixing story missions with open-world exploration. Driving and combat are core skills, while major heists give the characters reasons to cooperate even when their interests clash.
For a newcomer, the useful distinction is between following a mission and simply exploring. Mission objectives provide structure, while time away from them lets you learn roads, vehicle handling and useful routes around the city. Approach difficult tasks as a series of smaller decisions: arrive prepared, read the current objective and use cover during a firefight. The commercial release also contains GTA Online, but its services and progression are separate from a fan browser project.
How to play
- In the original game, explore the city and countryside by vehicle or on foot.
- Complete story missions that combine driving, combat and heist objectives.
- Learn the different roles of the story’s three central criminals.
Beginner tips
- Practice braking and cornering before a timed driving mission.
- Read the next objective before leaving a mission area.
- Use solid cover and reposition instead of standing exposed in a firefight.
