THE GAME

About GTA: Vice City

Vice City is an open-world action game about Tommy Vercetti’s rise through a criminal city in 1986. Its streets connect story missions, vehicle travel and on-foot encounters, creating a playground that can be explored between objectives. The setting gives the game its identity: bright coastal neighborhoods, a period soundtrack and a crime story built around competing relationships and businesses.

Learn the city at a comfortable pace before trying to complete every task quickly. A mission can demand very different handling from a casual drive, so practice braking, turning and changing vehicles when you have room to experiment. On foot, avoid entering a crowded fight without a route back to cover. Returning to a saved position lets you try another approach without treating a failed attempt as the end of the adventure.

How to play

  • Drive between neighborhoods and mission locations.
  • Complete story objectives with vehicle and on-foot action.
  • Explore the open world between missions and keep useful saved games.

Beginner tips

  • Practice turning and braking on quiet streets before a timed objective.
  • Check your health and equipment before starting a combat mission.
  • Export a save before importing another into the same browser slot.
