THE GAME

About Toasterball

Toasterball takes a familiar ball-and-goals contest and replaces its athletes with kitchen appliances. Pressing and releasing a toaster button ejects bread, and the same action makes the toaster jump. Holding the button longer changes the launch height, turning two simple inputs into a surprising range of movement and ball-control possibilities. The match becomes a contest of positioning, timing and wonderfully awkward physics.

The original game changes its gameplay variant after goals, introducing surprises such as altered ball behavior, hazards or moving terrain. It also offers AI opponents and custom matches. Learning the basic hop helps you adapt when a round suddenly feels different from the last one. A clean defensive position can be just as valuable as a spectacular leap toward the ball, especially when the court starts misbehaving.

How to play

  • Charge and release toast to jump and influence the ball.
  • Score in the opposing goal while protecting your own.
  • Adapt when a new gameplay variant changes the court.

Beginner tips

  • Try short and long button holds to learn different jump heights.
  • Leave someone defending when playing a team match.
  • Reassess the ball and hazards after each rule change.

Play in your browser

The browser launcher includes Fullscreen. Use it to give the court more room on screen before starting a match.
