About Skate × Rust

Skate × Rust is a browser mashup that brings skating and first-person gunplay into the same fan-built space. You can move on a board, walk off the board or switch into a gun mode, with each state using its own controls. The launcher provides a private session with bots rather than the ordinary online ecosystem of either commercial game.

On the board, pushing, steering and braking establish your approach before an ollie or trick. Hold and release the jump input to flick an ollie, then use the trick-stick bindings and grabs to experiment. Switching to gun mode changes the focus to mouse aiming, shooting, reloads and combat actions. Start with movement alone, use the tower reset to repeat a short attempt and add bot pressure only after the basic controls feel familiar.

How to play

  • Push, steer and brake on the board, then perform ollies and tricks.
  • Walk off-board or switch to first-person gun mode with G.
  • Configure a private bot session and repeat attempts using the tower reset.

Beginner tips

  • On the board, hold Space and release it to flick an ollie; practice this before adding tricks.
  • Use G to change modes, and check which mode you are in before using shared bindings.
  • Open M for session options and use the tower reset to repeat a short line.

Play in your browser

Board and gun modes use different control sets; G switches between them. Use the laptop control guide first; the mobile preset is experimental.
