About HexGL

HexGL is Thibaut Despoulain's browser racing project, created as a tribute to Wipeout and F-Zero. Its futuristic craft and sweeping track invite you to find a smooth line at high speed. Steering early and keeping your movement controlled is more useful than constantly reacting at the last instant, particularly when the next curve arrives before the previous one feels finished.

The craft can gain speed from track boosters, while collisions reduce momentum and damage its shield in the normal game rules. This turns a clean lap into a balance between speed and restraint: a faster approach is only valuable if you can stay on the course afterward. The creator's launch page includes control and quality choices, so select a setup that feels responsive before chasing a better run.

How to play

  • Steer a futuristic craft around the racing course.
  • Use track boosters while keeping a controlled line.
  • Avoid collisions that cost speed and shield strength.

Beginner tips

  • Look through the coming corner instead of watching only the craft.
  • Learn a clean route before trying to maximize every boost.
  • Choose a lower quality preset if steering feels delayed.

Play in your browser

Play through BKcore's official WebGL launcher. Choose a suitable control mode and graphics preset before selecting Start.
