About Hedgewars
Hedgewars is a turn-based strategy and artillery game with a comic cast of armed hedgehogs. On your turn, one member of the team moves around the terrain and uses an available weapon or tool against the opposition. The goal is to eliminate the other teams, but a powerful explosion can change the landscape and create a new problem for the next turn.
Positioning matters as much as direct damage. A hedgehog near the water can be removed by a well-placed blast, while a movement tool can reach a spot that walking alone cannot. Turns are time-limited, so decide where you want to move before experimenting with every weapon. The original game includes training missions, campaigns, local play and network matches, offering a gentler introduction before a competitive battle with several teams.
How to play
- Take turns moving a hedgehog and using a weapon or utility.
- Destroy terrain and push opponents toward dangerous positions.
- Eliminate opposing teams while protecting your own remaining hedgehogs.
