About Command & Conquer

Command & Conquer is a real-time strategy game built around opposing armies, a working base and the resource needed to keep both growing. In the original campaign, the conflict between GDI and Nod gives your missions their setting and objectives. You build structures, train units and move across the map while balancing the desire to attack with the need to keep your own position functioning.

Tiberium harvesting provides the money behind those decisions, so an early mission is a useful lesson in protecting an economy. Establish the buildings you need, keep the harvester working and produce a small force before reaching for an expensive plan. Infantry and vehicles solve different problems, and a mixed group gives you more options than repeatedly buying the same unit. Read the mission briefing carefully: destroying everything is not always the task, and understanding a specific objective can save a great deal of unnecessary fighting.

How to play

  • Build the base and production structures available in the mission.
  • Harvest Tiberium to fund repairs, buildings and military units.
  • Command infantry and vehicles while completing the campaign objective.

Beginner tips

  • Keep your harvester alive and check that it can return to the refinery.
  • Use a mixed force instead of relying on one unit type for every threat.
  • Read the briefing and maintain some base defense before sending the whole army away.
