About CS Surf

Surfd turns Counter-Strike-style surfing into a dedicated movement challenge. You travel along sloped ramps, transfer between surfaces and try to reach the finish with as little lost speed as possible. The project includes course selection, personal bests, checkpoint comparisons and both solo and online play, so you can learn privately or share a course with other surfers.

The essential technique is different from ordinary first-person walking. On a ramp, let go of forward movement and use the strafe key toward its face while gently steering with the mouse. Smooth changes preserve a useful line; abrupt turns can send you away from the surface. Practice tools let you save a difficult position and repeat it, making individual transfers easier to learn before attempting a complete timed run.

How to play

  • Slide along ramps using strafing and gentle mouse steering.
  • Transfer between surfaces and pass checkpoints to reach the finish.
  • Improve timed runs or repeat difficult sections in practice mode.

Beginner tips

  • Release W on a ramp and hold the strafe key toward its face.
  • Use practice save and restore to repeat one troublesome transfer.
  • Choose an easy course and prioritize finishing before chasing a faster time.

Play in your browser

Surfd is a dedicated browser surf client for keyboard and mouse. Practice runs and unrestricted starts use different record rules from leaderboard runs.
