THE GAME

About Brotato

Brotato drops a heavily armed potato into an alien arena and asks you to survive until help arrives. Weapons fire automatically by default, leaving movement and positioning at the center of the action. You can carry up to six weapons, while character traits and items push each run toward a different combination of strengths and weaknesses.

Short enemy waves are separated by shop visits. Materials gathered during combat fund new equipment and help your character develop, so the choices between waves are just as important as avoiding enemies during them. A focused build can make a difficult wave manageable, while scattered purchases may leave several weaknesses unresolved. The original game also includes aiming and difficulty options; use the options offered by the browser build for this edition.

How to play

  • Dodge alien hordes during timed arena waves.
  • Collect materials and buy equipment between waves.
  • Combine character traits, items and up to six weapons.

Beginner tips

  • Choose purchases that strengthen your existing weapons.
  • Leave an escape path instead of chasing materials into a crowd.
  • Improve survival when repeated hits end otherwise strong runs.
