About SCP: Containment Breach

SCP: Containment Breach puts you in the role of a Class D test subject after a secret research facility loses control of its anomalous entities. Your main goal is survival and escape, but documents and other discoveries can help explain the disaster. The facility's generated layout means each journey asks you to learn routes as you explore rather than rely entirely on a remembered map.

Its most distinctive threat is SCP-173, which cannot move while watched but becomes lethal when your attention breaks. The character must blink, so managing that brief interruption matters as much as finding another doorway. Keycards, access codes and other obstacles complicate movement while additional entities roam the site. Progress is a mixture of reading clues, preserving awareness and knowing when a room is too dangerous to enter.

How to play

  • Search a generated facility for an escape route and documents.
  • Collect access tools for restricted doors.
  • Manage blinking and line of sight around SCP-173.

Beginner tips

  • Check your blink meter before approaching SCP-173.
  • Read documents for clues instead of treating them as decoration.
  • Remember distinctive rooms so you can retrace a safe route.
